Peony Sunny Boy

 250,00

Sunny Boy is rare and in high demand, partly because it is a good peony for breeding (and yes, expensive because of it). This variety is also known as “Laning’s Best Yellow.” The flowers bloom early midseason, one of the first yellow toned peonies to bloom in the season. The flowers are full double with a medium yellow color with purple red flares at the petal base.  Because the flowers are so thick and filled, you mostly see the yellow. The petals are beautifull and the foliage is a deep green. Although the plants are strong and grow fast with a lot of blooms, they can use some support. Especialy when it rains or gets windy, they could fall over.

Parentage, Quad F3 x Moonrise. First bloomed 1975.

The bare roots are all organic certified (BE-BIO-001) and will be shipped at the start of autumn.
